Child Safety Standards

Effective June 2026. These standards apply to the Ontryst mobile application and all related services operated by Nevolut S.A.R.L.U. (head office, Democratic Republic of Congo) together with its European Union branch Nevolut S.R.L. (Romania).

1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

Ontryst is a dating service strictly intended for adults aged 18 and over. Nevolut S.A.R.L.U. has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child grooming, sexual extortion of minors, and any content, conduct, or communication that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a child.

These behaviours are strictly prohibited on Ontryst. Any account engaged in them is permanently banned, the content is removed, and the matter is reported to the appropriate authorities as described below.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these standards:

  • Child means any person under the age of 18, regardless of the age of majority in their country of residence.
  • CSAE means child sexual abuse and exploitation, including but not limited to grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, and the production, distribution, possession, or solicitation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • CSAM means any visual, written, audio, or digitally generated (including AI-generated) depiction of a child engaged in real or simulated sexually explicit conduct, or any depiction of the sexual parts of a child for primarily sexual purposes.

3. Minimum age and age assurance

Ontryst is restricted to users aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from, or provide service to, anyone under 18.

We take active measures to keep minors off the platform, including:

  • A mandatory date-of-birth gate during sign-up that blocks any user who declares they are under 18.
  • Automated detection signals — including review of profile photos, biographies, and self-disclosed information — that flag suspected minors for human review.
  • Immediate removal and permanent ban of any account confirmed or reasonably suspected to belong to a person under 18, including any attempt to re-register.
  • Cooperation with parents, guardians, schools, and authorities who report a suspected underage user.

4. Content and conduct standards

The following are strictly prohibited on Ontryst:

  • Any CSAM in any form, real, drawn, animated, or AI-generated.
  • Sexualised content depicting, referencing, or directed at minors.
  • Grooming behaviour, including any attempt to identify, contact, befriend, or sexually solicit a minor.
  • Sextortion, the trade of sexual content involving minors, or any link, code, or instruction that facilitates access to CSAM.
  • The use of Ontryst to identify, lure, traffic, or otherwise exploit a child.
  • Profile photos, bios, or messages that present the user as a minor, or that solicit or roleplay sexual interaction with a minor.

5. Detection, moderation, and enforcement

Nevolut S.A.R.L.U. operates the following safeguards on Ontryst:

  • Automated scanning of profile media against known CSAM hashes (PhotoDNA and equivalent technologies) at upload time.
  • Automated and human review of profile content, biographies, and reported messages for indicators of CSAE.
  • A trained Trust & Safety team that reviews reports of CSAE on a priority basis, 7 days a week.
  • Immediate suspension of accounts pending review when a credible CSAE signal is detected, and permanent ban on confirmation.
  • Device-level and identity-level blocking to prevent re-registration of banned actors.

6. Reporting CSAE

Any user can report a profile, message, or piece of content directly in the Ontrystapp using the “Report” option available on every profile and conversation. Reports flagged as relating to a minor or to CSAE are routed to the highest priority review queue.

Users, parents, guardians, researchers, NGOs, and authorities may also report CSAE on Ontryst by email to support@ontryst.com. We respond to verified CSAE reports as a priority and within 24 hours where possible.

If a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services first.

7. Reporting to authorities

Nevolut S.A.R.L.U. reports apparent CSAM and CSAE to the appropriate authorities as required by law, including:

  • The U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, for incidents that fall within its scope.
  • INHOPE member hotlines and other regional reporting bodies where applicable.
  • Local law enforcement in the relevant jurisdiction.

We preserve relevant data in accordance with applicable law and cooperate fully with lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection agencies.

8. Designated child safety contact

The Nevolut S.A.R.L.U. designated child safety contact can be reached at support@ontryst.com. This address is monitored by our Trust & Safety team and should be used for child-safety policy questions, escalations from authorities, and cooperation requests.

9. Staff training and accountability

All Nevolut S.A.R.L.U.staff with access to user content or moderation tools receive mandatory training on identifying CSAE, handling CSAM safely, and reporting obligations. Our Trust & Safety processes are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect evolving threats and regulatory guidance.

10. Updates to these standards

Nevolut S.A.R.L.U. reviews these Child Safety Standards at least annually and updates them as our service evolves or as regulatory requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
